You see your website for free before you pay, so you can decide with the finished work in front of you. This page explains what happens to payments once you go ahead.
The short version
- The preview is free. You pay nothing until you approve it.
- After you approve and billing starts, payments are generally not refundable, including the first month.
- You can still cancel at any time, and your service runs to the end of the month you paid for.
- Nothing here limits any right you have under South African law.
1. Before you pay
- The preview of your website is free, and so is changing it until you are happy.
- If you decide not to go ahead, you walk away and owe nothing.
2. After billing starts
- Once you have approved your website and billing has started, payments (including the first month and any domain registration costs paid as part of the service) are generally not refundable, even if you cancel early or do not use the website.
- This is because we build, host and look after your website for the whole month the moment you approve it.
3. Your rights under the law
- This policy does not take away any refund or cancellation right you have under South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act where it applies.
- If the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act's cooling-off right applies to you, you may cancel within 7 days of agreeing without giving a reason or paying a penalty, except where the law says it does not apply, for example once a service has started with your agreement within those 7 days.
