There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee. You can stop at any time, and your website stays online until the end of the month you have already paid for.
The short version
- No minimum term and no cancellation fee.
- Turn off auto-renew in your portal, or email us.
- Your service keeps running until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Unpaid invoices still need to be paid.
1. How to cancel
- In your portal: turn off auto-renew. That is all it takes.
- By email: tell us in writing at contact@vertexweb.co.za. Email is enough.
2. What happens next
- Your service keeps running until the end of the period you have paid for, then stops.
- You can turn auto-renew back on before the period ends to carry on as normal.
- Any unpaid invoices still need to be paid.
- Your domain is registered in your name, so it stays yours. For 90 days after your service ends you can ask us for a copy of your content and your tools' data. The detail is in section 19 of our Terms of Service.
3. Missed payments
- If a payment fails or an invoice is not paid, you have a 7-day grace period and your website stays online.
- If it is still unpaid after 7 days we may pause your website and parts of the portal until you pay. When payment succeeds we switch everything back on, with no reactivation fee.
4. Cooling-off
Cancelling within 7 days
If the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act's cooling-off right applies to you, you may cancel within 7 days of agreeing without a reason or penalty, except where the law says it does not apply, for example once a service has started with your agreement within those 7 days.5.
